Presents

Yesterday I took a lunch break over at nickelodeon where Katie works her day job. (she's doing all kinds of creative stuff for a new show that hasn't come out yet)

So, I did this marker sketch for her, now displayed in her cubicle (L)! On the far right is an old drawing I did on a napkin while we waited for the tow truck to come save us. (long story) Katie did the middle one of her and Luke. Katie's hairstyle reminds me of cute puppy ears.

Here's a quick Coral Cafe sketch of friends: Mike Fontanelli (one of the original R&S geniuses, too smart not to have a blog!) and Steve Worth Mike won the coin toss and got to keep it. I'll do another one for you, Steve! But I have urges to give you phantom freckles, if thats okay by you?

Here's a gift for animator friend, David I think he is secretly mad that I gave him bitch-tits. (sorry! he doesnt really have them)

Thanks again for coming to see me at the Comic con!

Flavourful Comic Con Thrills

whatta day at the big sweaty comic con signings with all the cartoonist bigshot friends: John, Bauza, Jim Smith and Katie!

This picture is no JOKE i tells ya. I drew real real real fast all day, lots of live caricatures of people. Katie drew a billion of her trademark funny-cute girls and john drew hilarious character scenes of random, yet sexy proportions. I hope all you adoring fans are rubbing your drawing presents on yourselves right now and getting love-papercuts on your softest parts!
Here's fine head examples of me (on L) and Katie Rice (R)

Several people asked me if I worked on the first season of Ren and Stimpy, and i said uhh you mean when i was 6 years old? sure!

I spent the whole day at two booths and met a lot of great people, and i'm sorry i couldn't hang out with everyone. (Especially Gary and Scott diggs) I even got to meet triumph the funny rubber hump dog! I hope he makes some cartoons with us soon!

The day was a great success! johnnie had a jillion fans and some waited all day in line just so see him, and every last DVD sold.

I loved joking with fans, and i couldn't believe the huge following that i had. I'm glad I've been entertaining so many people with my cartoons. Thank you for coming to see me! Here's hands down my favorite visitor, the adorable Bryan! what a nice fellow:

i forgot to ask him if he was 18, wink!

If you have any Marlo drawings or pictures on your blogs, let me know and i'll link them in my next post!!!

California Diner Fun

Hello Friends!

  • Gary
  • and I did some diner drawings this morning!

Here are my marker observations of two unsuspecting creatures in nearby booths:

This guy was overall swollen and melting, but his see-through fleshy nose was erect and alive and growing towards the life-giving sun! swoon!

and this pink one had a constant anticipation/alarmed expression.

    more later! = ) = )
