Is it a part of a comic on a site that hosts multiple comics?
They look great! The hard thing, i find, about not doing pencils first is that a lot of times comics have a background a midground and foreground and it's really hard to get it all worked out in your head in advance, but if you can swing it: awesome!

I looked around your site and didn't see any news about this comic, tho... what's the deal? My opinion is that the best way is to always be shifting mental gears between striving for new heights, and drawing expressively and loosely within your comfort zone... in order to strengthen your balance between the two. I used to kind of be a perfectionist when it came to drawing or painting (sorta still am a bit, maybe), but I'd then get really impatient and would wanna see the damn drawing or painting just done! And cartooning is a fun artform! It's comedy in art! Yeah, why be so serious with it? But I do think it's important to have talent and skill and be able to apply those to whatever you're working on. So really, the way I've always seen it is that there should be a good balance of maintaining it loose and expressive yet balanced and well controlled.Pedro Vargashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08439417631526024175noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19780244.post-40657414533860831512010-03-29T14:34:50.354-07:002010-03-29T14:34:50.354-07:00Hey Brent! it was great meeting you and hanging ou...Hey Brent! it was great meeting you and hanging out!!! and thanks!
