Hi Marlow - great blog; loving your work. I'm an Australian live caricaturist/cartoonist myself; I can't get over how different people look over in America compared to Australia! American faces are so much more... I don't know - extreme? The facial structure is so much better to caricature that Australians - ad I can't figure out why! Technically "Australians" are all derived from other countries anyway (ie. Europe, Asia etc.) but for some reason every time an American sits down in front of me I can just go to town on the caricature.. thoughts?
Have you been studying Al Hirshfeld's stuff a lot lately? By which I mean to imply that the economy of your lines and the confidentness of them are very reminiscent of his stuff, and that this is a good thing.
