News!

I have been extremely busy since exclusively returning to PAINTING! It is about time to start posting my new work with you, starting with some convention pieces painted on site.

In November, I won Caricaturist of the Year: The Silver Nosey at the Ohio ISCA convention! I put everything I had into producing a collection of work that met my own requirements, so it was a difficult week. (I won eight awards)

In January, I won Best Overall at the Texas Cripple Convention for my paintings. I am most proud of this one!

I'm currently finishing up a gallery series that I have been working on since last spring.

You are so intimidating, Marlo. Honestly, your drawings make me want to hurl myself off the CN tower. I'll NEVER be as good as you, nobody will!

Now I find out you paint, too? FUCK.

You're the greatest caricaturist alive. I'm not even kissing your ass, it's the truth.

Thanks everyone! Anne, I thought of Rat Balloon back in 1944, the war inspired me. Niki: that is a good suggestion. I will try and do that. Jorge, you flatter me so. Dylan, I did not know planets had emotions, you are so deep.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA i haven't been here in forever and it was a real treat to see these paintings. do you glaze like a madwoman? the coloring style has a very classical feel. these were pretty funny

Hey! You finally won the Nosey. It's about time. You deserve it more than anybody. Of course, I'm sure you do your art moreso for the love rather than the awards so I'm sure you couldn't care either way.

It's great seeing your work rendered in painted form. Knowing that any of the visions you put down on canvas could possibly exist in in flesh and blood in our world makes them that much more potent.

Keep up the good work.

Revisiting these pictures, Marlo.
They're sooo lovely.
Reminds me that "It's not What you paint - It's How you paint it."
