I was hoping they'd ask what it was like working for John K.
I think the Jersey Shore idea is a great one. That concept's funnier than anything with comic geeks because there you're just seeing a failure of taste and self-conception, it's not so biological (though that's great too).
thanks for the link , it's great
pleeeeeease jersey shore caricatures, i'm going to look them up right now in anticipation, i've only heard about them. i laughed a lot at the bad caricature example. amazing. also! awesome to see you posting regularly, very inspiring.
i want to see some priest caricatures!!!!!!
What a mellifluous voice...sigh...
Super cool!! I enjoyed it. Those Jersey Shore people NEED to be caricatured, and I found everything you said real interesting, especially your take on color.
i enjoyed this interview!
Hey, thanks everyone for your kind words! I've always turned down interviews on account of shyness, so I am glad you get a kick out of it.
Sharpy and Hello Dylan! I miss ya buddy! Yeah, those jerseyshorians are really busted! plus, being from Jersey makes me want to barf in how familiar they are. I will try to translate that act into a drawing.
Mark, I don't agree! But thanks for the compliment!
Thank you Pedro and Seo!!!!!!! Make sure ya'll tune in next time.
Wow! That was a great interview. MAD Magazine is a great inspiration for me too, both the drawings and the writing.
I do have a question about something you said though. In the interview you said that you've never been offended by any caricature done of you. However, I do recall a drawing I did of you a few years ago that got a rather poor reception. It made some acquaintances o yours very angry but I never really got your assessment of it. Was that the only caricature of all time that offended you in some way? (Although, I should state that offence was definitely not my intention. Like any caricaturist, I was just trying to be "funny".)
