some caricatures, drawings & paintings by marlo meekins
I started drawing really young. Here's me in 1988 with my charcoal drawing of a plaster cast. I was about 7 in these pictures.

Get ready for the cartoon show tonight KALI
I remember drawing Looney Tunes with the VCR on pause a lot when I was younger. the black cat from Tex Avery's 'Bad Luck Blackie' was my favorite to draw. nice photos :P
Holy crap! You were good! *gape*You're a real cutie and you haven't changed a bit. That bike shot is a fab one.
So the did ya grow into the curls or are they some kind of salon voodoo? I have the crazy curls, and I chop em off before they can take over my head and eat my brains.
children of the corn.....malacai, malacai

Seriously, that's such a great drawing for a 7 year old. I certainly wasn't using charcoal or drawing from life at that age. Back then I simply tried coppying flat images from magazines with my #2. It wasn't until much much later that I found out drawing from a flat piece of paper isn't the best way to progress in your art.Anyway, great photos.
so cute!! I looked like a goblin when I was that age.
Wow! That as before I was even born! What was the world like back then?
Love the unpredictability of this blog. You look really cute by the way.
aww da cuteness.
I had big teeth in 1988.
